* There are 10,500 blind and partially sighted people in the UK who could benefit from a guide dog
* 11 children lose their sight every single day

Each guide dog partnership involves around 20 months of training, seven years of support and costs over £40,000. And we want to get a third more guide dogs out there by 2020. That’s two partnerships every day in 2010 alone, which means spending, on average, at least an extra £3.3 million a year over the next decade compared to today.
