Sightsavers work alongside local organisations and governments to teach basic eye care skills and hygiene to adults and children. We help to fund eye screening camps, operations, treatments, education, surgical training, as well as supporting rehabilitation programmes.

Thanks to Sight Savers and our local partners, nearly 55 million people have been treated for potentially blinding conditions and sight has been restored to 4.75 million individuals.

Tax Back - Sightsavers get more from your gift - That's because Sightsavers can now claim back tax on almost every donation they receive.
So if you pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax - like tax on your pension if you're retired, or tax on the interest from your savings - then every donation you make, or have made since 6th April 2000 could be worth almost a third more without any extra cost to you. In fact, if Sight Savers could reclaim the tax on every donation they receive in 2000-2001, we'd have an extra £2 million to spend on those suffering unnecessarily from devastating eye conditions. If you're a higher rate tax payer you can claim relief too
