used stamps for RNIB
Instructions
* Please leave approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp.
The rest of the envelope can be discarded (which will make it cheaper
to send).
* Please separate the stamps into:
1) British
2) Overseas
* The value of a stamp does not matter, so 1p stamps can be grouped
together with £1 stamps.
* Collected stamps should be sent to:

Before you throw those SAEs away remove the stamps. A number of charities
can make money from our stamps.
The charity I've chosen to support however is The Born Free Foundation.
Not only can they make use of your used stamps, they can also raise much
needed funds from left over foreign coins from that trip abroad!
Not only can you help charities by collecting stamps you can also help
by spreading the word to the celebrities you write to - imagine how many
used stamps they must throw away!
RSPB
Albatross appeal - A big thank you to everyone who has pledged their
support to our 'Save the Albatross' appeal, which has raised more than
£650,000.
You can help us raise even more by sending us the used stamps from your
post, which we can sell.
If possible, please put UK and foreign stamps in separate, labelled envelopes.
You don't have to steam the stamp from the envelope, just tear off the
corner with the stamp and send it in.
We raise £1.50 per kg for UK stamps and £12.50 per kg for
foreign stamps. Last year we raised almost £3,000 for the RSPB's
funds, so thanks to those who have sent stamps in the past.
Send yours to: RSPB Stamps, PO Box 6198, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
LU7 9XT. Please do not include any other correspondence.

Sending Us Your Stamps!
The Centre for Alternative Technology continues its appeal for used stamps.
Or: www.cat.org.uk
All the stamps that we receive are sorted and then sold to dealers or
collectors. The money raised will be used to fund CAT¹s important
environmental volunteer service.
We are very happy to receive any amount of stamps, small or large. Even
the stamp you use to post your stamps to us will be removed from its envelope
and recycled to raise money for CAT.
We are collecting both British and foreign stamps. British stamps should
be left on their backing paper with roughly 1cm of border around the stamp.
Foreign stamps (including the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Republic
of Ireland) should ideally be sent in on their envelope or postcard as
they are more valuable to our dealer this way. Stamps should not be removed
from the backing paper as this can cause damage and make the stamp worthless.
It would be very helpful if stamps are sorted into the following two categories:
* British stamps - all denominations (First Class and above, Second Class
and below including Christmas stamps). [NB There is no need to separate
First and Second Class stamps any more].
* Foreign and commemorative.
Please send your stamps to:
Barbara Wallace, The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), Machynlleth,
Powys. SY20 9AZ.
IPCC turn used stamps into money to help our work of saving Irish bogs.
Valuable stamps that are spotted are sold separately, but even perfectly
ordinary stamps are welcome. They get made up into packs for sale in
IPCC's Enviro Shop or are sold in bulk in Ireland to stamp dealers. Last
year Euro 7,000 worth of stamps were sold for IPCC.
If you can help us, please put your stamps into an envelope and send
them to: IPCC, Lullymore, Rathangan, Co. Kildare
